Who is this guide for?Admins and Finance see every report. Viewers see Sales and Kitchen Times.
Open a report
On the back office
- Sign in to the back office and click Reports.
- Pick a report from the list. On a wide screen the list is on the right; on a narrow one it's a row along the top.
- Pick the dates: Today, 7 days, 30 days or Dates. For Dates, fill in First day and Last day.
What each report shows
- Sales: number of sales, Gross, Net and Average sale, then every sale under Transactions.
- Item Sales: your top sellers, then every item by sales.
- Cost of Goods: cost of goods sold, gross profit and margin, by item.
- Projected Profit: what the stock on hand would sell for, and what it cost.
- Sell-Through: how much of the stock you had was sold.
- Aging Inventory: stock on hand, the longest sitting first.
- Employee Sales: sales by team member.
- Taxes, Discounts, Refunds, Tips and Voids: one report each.
- Batches: your card batches.
- Kitchen Times: how long each station takes. Shown only where kitchen screens are on.
Reading the numbers
Net is gross less discounts and refunds. Tax and tips aren't in it.
Projected Profit and Aging Inventory have no dates. They show the stock on hand right now.
Export a report
On the back office
- Open the report and pick the dates.
- Click Export CSV. The file is named after the report and the dates.
What your plan includes
- Surge Free: Today only, with Sales, Taxes, Discounts, Refunds, Tips, Voids and Batches.
- Surge Plus and Surge Premium: any dates, plus Item Sales, Cost of Goods, Projected Profit, Sell-Through, Aging Inventory, Employee Sales and Export CSV.
- On Surge Free, a line under the dates says what's missing.
Cost reports use each item's own cost. Set it on the item's Variations card, or when you receive a purchase order.
