Who is this guide for?Cashiers print and reprint. Changing the receipt message needs a manager code; the heading and logo are for Admins in the back office.
Before you begin
- The terminal has a built-in printer (Spark or Volt). It needs no setup and doesn't appear under Kitchen printers and screens.
- There's paper in the printer.
Print a receipt after a sale
On the terminal
- Take the payment. When it's done, the screen asks Receipt?
- The customer taps Print it. The receipt prints and the sale closes.
Reprint a receipt
On the terminal
- Tap Reports in the bottom bar.
- Pick the period, for example Today or Yesterday.
- Open Transactions and tap the sale.
- Tap Reprint receipt. To print one more copy, tap Print another.
Change the message at the bottom
On the terminal
- Tap Settings in the bottom bar, then Receipt.
- Enter a manager code when asked.
- Type your message under Message at the bottom of the receipt. You have up to 200 characters.
- Tap Save. The message is used by every terminal at this shop.
Change the heading and logo
On the back office
- Go to Store setup > Receipt.
- Under Receipt heading, fill in Business name, Address and Phone.
- Under Logo, add your Receipt logo.
- Click Save. Terminals pick up the change on their next sync.
- The address has Address line 2, City, State and ZIP too.
- Leave a field blank to use your business's own details. Filling in any part of the address replaces the whole address with this shop's.
- Receipt printers have no grey. For the logo, use black on white, a solid shape and bold type.
- Only an Admin can change these.
Stop one terminal printing
On the terminal
- Tap Settings in the bottom bar, then Receipt, and enter a manager code.
- Under This terminal, turn off Print receipts. Receipts are then offered digitally.
If a receipt doesn't come out, the sale is still paid and closed. Fix the paper, then reprint it from Reports.
On a terminal with no printer the receipt screen offers Email it to me and No receipt only.
