Print, email or skip a receipt

After a sale

The receipt question comes after the payment. The sale is finished whatever the customer chooses.

1. When the terminal shows Receipt?, ask the customer what they'd like.
2. Tap Print it for a paper receipt.
3. Or tap Email it to me, type the address under What is your email? and tap Send receipt.
4. Or tap No receipt.

Reprint a receipt

1. Tap Reports in the bottom bar.
2. Open Transactions and tap the sale.
3. Tap Reprint receipt. To print one more copy, tap Print another.

Email or text a receipt for an earlier sale

A customer who comes back for a receipt can be sent one from Reports, even on a terminal with no printer. No manager code is needed.

1. Tap Reports in the bottom bar.
2. Open Transactions and tap the sale.
3. Tap Email receipt, or Text receipt if your shop sends receipts by text message.
4. Type the customer's email address or mobile number. Send receipt lights up once it looks right.
5. Tap Send receipt. The terminal says Receipt emailed to or Receipt texted to and the address or number. Tap Back to change your mind.

• A number can be texted a sale's receipt once. If it already has it, the terminal says so: email the receipt instead.

Good to know

• Print it appears only on terminals with a printer. A terminal without one shows "No printer on this device — receipts are digital".
• Text it to me appears only where your shop sends receipts by text message.
• Printing on or off is set for each terminal in Settings > Receipt. If you have two terminals, set it on both.
