About the app
The Surge app is the back office on your phone: sales, customers, rewards and your team. It's free for Surge owners. Taking payments and refunds stays on the terminal.
Install on Android
On the Surge app
- On your Android phone, open surgeups.com/app in the browser.
- Tap Download for Android.
- Open the downloaded file.
- If Android asks, allow installing apps from your browser.
- Tap Install, then open Surge and sign in.
iPhone
The iPhone app will come as a beta through Apple TestFlight. The app page shows Coming soon on TestFlight until then, and the TestFlight link will be posted there as soon as it's ready.
What the app does
- Dashboard and Sales: how the business is doing, and every sale.
- Customers: look someone up and change their points.
- Rewards: start or change your rewards program and its rewards.
- Team: add people, give till codes and back-office access, and remove people.
What stays in the back office or on the till
- Refunds, voids and changes to a sale.
- Editing a customer's details.
- Jobs and pay, and changing a team member's name or email.
- Reports, exports and custom dates.
- Items, prices, stock, settings and devices.
Owners also see a Get the Surge app banner on the back office dashboard. Get the app opens the same download page.
Download on the phone itself. On a computer, the page asks you to open it on your Android phone.
